Vendor Neutrality

LabAnswer maintains a vendor neutral stance in our strategic services work because vendor biases create conflicts of interest. Our desire is that customers implement the most appropriate technology solutions available that best-fit their business needs, requirements, and environment.

LabAnswer has worked on hundreds of projects involving prominent LIMS, ELN, SDMS, and CDS industry vendors – it is this experience and knowledge that allows us to provide our clients with valuable strategic and technical information from which informed investment decisions can be made. Our value is in providing guidance, perspectives, and our industry opinions based upon over 20 years of informatics experience – we know what it takes to have a successful project.

We recommend that the customer makes final software product investment decisions and that in informatics software selection engagements vendors be selected through a structured selection and evaluation process to ensure that the product will meet or exceed customer requirements at the best negotiated price.

Clients Make the Decisions

  • We do not sell or resell any software or hardware products
  • We do not receive any financial compensation from the sale of any software
  • We ask that the customer themselves qualitatively and quantitatively score vendors in any selection process
  • We present the data gathered during our engagements and then we let the customer decide, providing industry perspectives and individual opinions only to the extent requested, appropriate, and fair.
  • We partner with multiple vendors, and typically a significant portion of our work is with the top two or three dominant vendors of the marketplace at any given time. This can create a perception of vendor bias, however our history of final vendor selections has been diverse.
